VosBio is dedicated to expanding respiratory research and discovery through our innovative analytical approach to biological problems. By using an analytical approach, our technology is usable, practical and predictable. Our mission is to provide cutting-edge technologies for enhanced diagnostics and research in the field of respiratory health. Our Story
Founded in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, testing for SARS-CoV-2 was widespread as was a shortage of spin columns to perform the needed purification of clinical samples. Co-founder Doug Gjerde sought a solution for the shortage of spin columns needed to process clinical samples.

At the heart of the collection process is VosBio™ Universal Breath Collector. Our device allows for the collection of exhaled breath condensate (EBC) in a fast and efficient way that is as easy as breathing.

Our collection method allows users to directly analyze the clinical sample without the need to purify the sample using spin columns using our proprietary chemistry. This analytical approach also looks at the source of respiratory disease.​​

Exhaled Breath Condensate is a biological sample that includes organic, protein, and nucleic acid biomarkers. Our Universal Breath Collector approach efficiently captures both condensate and droplets that inculde organic compounds. These can be used to detect infection and inflammation; leading causes of lung damage in chronic respiratory disease. We call this the comprehensive approach.
As a result of this work, we now have a system that can be used to investigate any respiratory illness using any detection method. This includes PCR, mass spectrometry, pH, UV spectrometry, ELISA and others.
